The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Nyeri Chapter proudly joined education leaders, government officials, industry stakeholders, graduates, and their families yesterday in celebrating the 6th Graduation Ceremony of The Nyeri National Polytechnic. The occasion marked another significant milestone in the institution's continued commitment to producing a skilled workforce that contributes to Kenya's economic growth and industrial development.
The Chamber was honored to have the KNCCI President officially represented by Dr. George Karanja, Regional Director – Central Region, who delivered the President's message highlighting the critical role of technical and vocational education in driving enterprise growth, innovation, and national development. The message emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between training institutions and the private sector to ensure graduates are equipped with the practical skills and entrepreneurial mindset needed in today's evolving economy.
KNCCI Nyeri County Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Ndegwa, was also represented during the ceremony, reaffirming the Chapter's commitment to supporting initiatives that promote skills development and create opportunities for young people entering the workforce.
The graduation ceremony celebrated the achievements of students who have successfully completed their studies and are now prepared to contribute to various sectors of the economy. As Kenya continues to prioritize industrialization and economic transformation, institutions such as The Nyeri National Polytechnic play a vital role in nurturing competent professionals, skilled artisans, and innovative entrepreneurs.
KNCCI Nyeri recognizes that graduates represent far more than the next generation of job seekers. They are future business owners, innovators, employers, and catalysts for economic growth within Nyeri County and beyond. Through strategic partnerships with educational institutions, the Chamber remains committed to creating pathways that connect graduates with business opportunities, mentorship programs, market linkages, and investment networks capable of transforming ideas into sustainable enterprises.
The Chamber believes that fostering stronger relationships between academia and the business community is essential in preparing graduates to meet industry demands while encouraging entrepreneurship as a viable pathway to economic empowerment and job creation.
KNCCI Nyeri congratulates all graduates of The Nyeri National Polytechnic's 6th Graduation Ceremony on this remarkable achievement. Their dedication, resilience, and hard work have laid a strong foundation for promising careers and successful entrepreneurial journeys.
As these graduates embark on the next chapter of their lives, KNCCI Nyeri looks forward to supporting and collaborating with them in building innovative businesses, creating employment opportunities, and contributing to the continued growth and prosperity of Nyeri County and Kenya as a whole.
Congratulations to the graduating class—the business leaders, innovators, and changemakers of tomorrow.
